Councillors Andy Smith (third from right) and Darren Ennis (fourth from left) opened the new Adventure Golf with Lichfield District Council staff and Friends of Beacon Park on Saturday.

Visitors to Beacon Park can now enjoy a round on the fantastic new 9-hole Adventure Golf course.

Offering fun for all the family the woodland-themed facility challenges players to negotiate obstacles, slopes, tunnels and tricky hazards and ‘hole-out’ in as few putts as possible.

Adventure Golf features accessible roped pathways, landscaping and attractive flower beds blending in naturally at Beacon Park.

It forms part of a wider programme of improvements being delivered there by Lichfield District Council. New padel tennis courts and an enhanced Pitch and Putt golf course are also scheduled to open later this summer.

Councillor Andy Smith, Lichfield District Council’s deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Leisure and Major Projects, said:

“The new Adventure Golf course is absolutely fantastic. It enhances the park, is affordable and great fun. Come and enjoy a round soon.”

Prices start from £1.50 per child and £3 per adult.
