New local plan

If you have not yet signed up to our garden waste service, we are sorry but our subscription window for 2024's collections is now closed. We will re-open subscriptions in late November when you will be able to sign up for collections in 2025.

If you have already signed up for a direct debit for garden waste, we will write to you before the end of October to notify you that we will take your 2025 subscription payment of £41 in early November.

Following the withdrawal of the local plan 2040 from its examination in October 2023, we are working on our new local plan for Lichfield District, which will take us up to 2043.

We undertook a call for sites between 29 January and 25 March 2024 to help us identify potential sites that may be able to help meet the district’s development needs in the future. The call for sites is now closed and we have pubished a schedule of the sites which were submitted.
