We are working on our new local plan for Lichfield District, which will take us up to 2043 and are looking for residents, community groups and businesses to share their views.
All councils have a duty to prepare and adopt a local plan for their areas and once adopted, our new local plan will replace the current adopted plan.
Our timeline for our new local plan is set out within our local development scheme.
Issues and options
We consulted on our issues and options document - between the 30 October and 11 December 2024.
The issues and options document was supported by several documents:
- Issues and options spatial portrait
- Sustainability appraisal
- Habitat regulations assessment
- Equality impact assessment
We will now process and consider all of the responses we received during the consultation and will provide an update on the next steps for the new local plan in due course.
