Street performer guidance

You do not need a licence to busk in Lichfield city centre or across the district, but we do ask that all street performers follow our guidance.

Following our guidance will help us to maintain a happy relationship with city centre visitors, residents and workers.

Street performers should:

keep the volume down on any amplification
not stay in the same place for more than one hour
not busk close to any other street performers
consider the need for access to shops and footpaths
be reasonable and accept advice from council officers, especially if there has been a complaint
