Tuesday 16 April 2024 Deadline to register to vote - now passed If you have not already registered to vote (for example you have just turned 18, changed your name recently, or moved home recently and have not previously voted at your current address), we are sorry but you will not be able to vote in the upcoming Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner elections, as the deadline to register has now passed. It is still however worth registering to vote in future elections. Find out more.
Wednesday 17 April 2024, 5pm Deadline for submitting an application to vote by post - now passed The deadline for registering to vote by post in the forthcoming Police, Fire & Crime Commisioner elections has now passed.
Wednesday 24 April 2024, 5pm Deadline for applying for a voter authority certificate If you wish to vote at the polling station you will be required to show an accepted form of photographic ID before being issued with a ballot paper. Wednesday 24 April 2024, 5pm Deadline for submitting an application to vote by proxy If you are unable to attend the polling station, you could apply for a proxy vote.
Wednesday 24 April 2024, 5pm First time electors can apply for an emergency proxy  
Thursday 2 May 2024, 7am – 10pm Polling day

Friday 3 May 2024 Count across Staffordshire The result will be available on the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner's website after all votes have been counted across Staffordshire.
