Fradley neighbourhood plan

The Fradley neighbourhood plan was made on 12 February 2019.

Final decision statement

On 12 February 2019, our cabinet agreed to make the Fradley neighbourhood plan, which now forms a part of the development plan for Lichfield District. As required by the neighbourhood planning regulations, a decision statement on the 'making' of the plan has been published.

Referendum

The referendum for the Fradley neighbourhood plan took on 31 January 2019 and local residents voted in favour - view the Fradley neighbourhood referendum result - January 2019.

Decision statement

On 4 December 2018, our cabinet agreed to proceed to referendum on the draft Fradley neigbourhood plan. As required by the neighbourhood planning regulations a decision statement has been published.

Examination

The examination of the neighbourhood plan was undertaken my Mr Nigel McGurk BSc (Hons) MCD MBA MRTPI. The examination concluded in November 2018. The independent examiners report is now available.

Submission neighbourhood plan

Fradley & Streethay Parish Council submitted the Fradley neighbourhood plan in May 2018. In accordance with section 16 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012, a six week consultation on the neighbourhood plan was undertaken between May and July 2018.

You can make representations on the Fradley neighbourhood plan through our consultation portal, or by using the representation form. Representations can be submitted electronically by using the consultation portal or by emailing completed forms to developmentplans@lichfielddc.gov.uk or by post to the following address:

If you wish to be informed of our decision on the neighbourhood plan proposal then please state this within your representation or tick the appropriate box on the representation form.

Hard copies of the plan and its associated documents are available for inspection on reception at District Council House (Frog Lane, Lichfield) during normal working hours.

It is our responsibility to collate all the representations and pass them onto the independent examiner, who will look at them and the plan documents when assessing whether the plan meets the basic conditions and can therefore proceed to referendum.

Pre-submission consultation

Fradley & Streethay Parish Council are currently undertaking a six week pre-submission consultation on the draft Fradley neighbourhood plan. The consultation runs from 20 November 2017 to 15 January 2018. View the document on the Fradley & Streethay Parish website.

SEA & HRA screening report

Fradley & Streethay Parish Council requested that we undertake a screening process of the draft Fradley neighbourhood plan to determine the need for strategic environmental assessment (SEA) and habitat regulations assessment (HRA). View the Fradley neighbourhood plan SEA & HRA screening report.

Neighbourhood area designation

We have received an application from Fradley & Streethay Parish Council to designate the area of Alrewas & Fradley ward within Fradley & Streethay Parish as the Fradley Neighbourhood Area. The Fradley Neighbourhood Area has been designated having been approved 9 December 2014 (The Relevant Body making the application is Fradley & Streethay Parish Council).
