Staying fire safe at home starts with simple, everyday precautions. Visit our online resources section to find out about simple and effective measures and approaches you can put in place to protect your home from fire. Enter our competition before  Friday 7 November at midnight to be in with the chance to win heat alarms, fire blankets, a fire station tour, an air fryer, one of five slow cookers, a gift bag, free PAT testing for businesses, and more safety essentials like surge protectors and electric candle sets. Enter today!

Businesses in neighbouring areas have been targeted by scammers posing as council officers, claiming premises licences are expiring or that fees are owed. They may ask for payment into a personal account. Premises licences do not expire, and legitimate payment requests will always include an official invoice with payment instructions. If you receive a suspicious call or text, contact us to verify. Visit Action Fraud for advice on how to protect yourself.
