About the plan
The neighbourhood plan was independently examined in 2018 and the examiner recommended that subject to some modifications the plan should proceed to referendum. We agreed with the examiner’s report and voted to progress the plan to referendum at the cabinet meeting on 12 June 2018.

On 12 June 2018, our cabinet agreed to proceed to referendum on the draft Longdon neighbourhood plan. As required by the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations a decision statement has been published.

Submission Longdon neighbourhood plan
Longdon Parish Council have now submitted the Longdon neighbourhood plan to us. In accordance with section 16 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012, we will now consult on the neighbourhood plan. The consultation closed on Friday 9 March 2018.

If you wish to be informed of our decision on the neighbourhood plan proposal then please state this within your representation or tick the appropriate box on the representation form.
It is our responsibility to collate all the representations and pass them onto the independent examiner, who will look at them and the plan documents when assessing whether the plan meets the basic conditions and can therefore proceed to referendum.
Longdon Parish Council have published their draft neighbourhood plan and recently undertook the six week pre-submission consultation required by the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012. The consultation closed on Sunday 21 August 2016. The document and more information can be viewed on the Longdon Parish Council website.
Neighbourhood area designation
We have received an application from Longdon Parish Council to designate the parish of Longdon as a neighbourhood area. The Longdon Neighbourhood Area has been designated having been approved 9 July 2013 (the relevant body making the application is Longdon Parish Council).
