Whittington & Fisherwick neighbourhood plan decision statement

The Whittington & Fisherwick neighbourhood plan referendum took place on Thursday 22 February 2018. More than half of those voting (90%) voted in favour of the neighbourhood plan.

The neighbourhood plan was independently examined in 2017 and the examiner recommended that subject to some modifications the plan should proceed to referendum. We agreed with the examiner’s report and voted to progress the plan to referendum at the cabinet meeting on 10 January 2018.

The neighbourhood plan and other background documents are available via the links below:

The question which will be asked at the referendum is: "Do you want Lichfield District Council to use the neighbourhood plan for Whittington & Fisherwick to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?"

Decision statement

On 10 January 2018, our cabinet agreed to proceed to referendum on the draft Whittington & Fisherwick neighbourhood plan. As is required by the neighbourhood planning regulations, a decision statement has been published. Further information on the arrangements for the referendum will follow in the near future.
