Football pitch hire terms and conditions

  1. This contract is legally binding and once entered into, the council will pursue all due payments, including a cancellation fee of £30, should the seasons booking be cancelled prior to the start of the season.
  2. Non-payment of invoices will result in immediate cancellation of hire, withdrawing access to the facilities and pitches.
  3. The district council cannot accept any liability for loss, damage or injury sustained by the hirer or any person participating. 
  4. It is a requirement of the football clubs using the councils facilities to take out their own public liability insurance.
  5. When using the facilities, we can only allow the team and two officials in each changing room in order that we can control access to the facility.
  6. It is the responsibility of the hire team to ensure that the pitch is playable prior to the commencement of play. Although, the council reserves the right to call off games as they see fit whether or not teams or their referees believe the pitches are playable.
  7. We do not recommend the use of 'bladed' stud football boots on grass and/or artificial football pitches.
  8. Night matches are only available for the following times, to be booked on telephone number 01543 308867, minimum two working days prior to the games, with a minimum of two games per night. 
    Juniors: Monday and Thursday. 
    Adults: Tuesday and Wednesday. Teams/leagues are to fully look after the changing facilities, failure to look after the facilities to their optimum will result in an additional charge of £30 per team, per game, if these requirements are not met. 
    Beacon Park only: Night matches may incur an additional cost of £30 per night for use of the changing rooms. This will be a set fee, payable in advance, or on the night to cover the cost of staffing the changing rooms.
  9. Refundable key deposits may apply to individual sites, please liaise with the parks team for more details.
  10. Beacon Park only: Away teams are permitted to use the old changing block only, except where parks management has given express permission to use the new changing rooms.
  11. The facilities are of a high quality and must be looked after by the hirer. No damage is acceptable and the home team will be held responsible for any damage caused. Any teams found to be abusing the rooms/facilities and/or staff will be barred from our facilities.
  12. Smoking is not permitted in any council buildings.
  13. The hirer will reimburse the district council for any expenditure incurred in making good any damage to facilities, and any areas where enhanced cleaning is required.
  14. Lichfield District Council has a legal responsibility to safeguard, promote wellbeing and protect children and adults with care and support needs who may be at risk of abuse. All hirers must comply with our safeguarding policy and procedure.
