Description

Christ Church Burntwood was built in the early 19th century in the Gothic Revival style to serve the growing local community. Consecrated in 1820, the church was established to meet the spiritual and pastoral needs of local residents, who had previously travelled some distance for key life events. The red brick building has since been extended and continues to be a place of active worship, offering both traditional and family-friendly services in a welcoming environment.

The churchyard is now fully occupied, with no new grave or ashes plots currently available. However, it may still be possible to reopen existing family plots where appropriate. The churchyard offers a peaceful space for quiet reflection, with a variety of memorials and mature trees contributing to its calm and respectful atmosphere. Visitors are welcome to spend time in the grounds or attend one of the church’s regular services or community gatherings.
