Domestic abuse support

The Mankind Initiative

Domestic abuse affects people from all walks of life regardless of gender, sexual orientation or race. Men, in particular, suffer because of the lack of recognition and awareness by society and often the lack of local services available to support them.

The ManKind Initiative is a national charity that provides help and support for male victims of domestic abuse and domestic violence. They run a helpline manned by trained people who give information and support on all aspects of domestic abuse and domestic violence including reporting incidents, police procedures, housing, benefits and injunctions.

They refer people to places of refuge, local authorities and other support services where appropriate.
