Tenant responsibilities
While landlords have important duties, tenants also have responsibilities to keep the property in good condition:
- General upkeep - tenants should maintain cleanliness and report maintenance issues in a timely manner.
- Respect your property - avoid damage and use fixtures and fittings responsibly.
- Communication - inform the landlord promptly if issues arise to enable quick resolutions. This includes requests about maintenance, repairs, living conditions and your tenancy agreement.
