Mavesyn Ridware parish council are in the process of preparing a neighbourhood plan for their area. This page provides the latest information in terms of their progress.
Submission Mavesyn Ridware neighbourhood plan
Mavesyn Ridware Parish Council have now submitted the Mavesyn Ridware neighbourhood plan to the district council. In accordance with section 16 of the neighbourhood planning (general) regualtions 2012 Lichfield District Council will consult on the draft neighbourhood plan. The consultation takes place between 12 September and 24 October 2024.
The Mavesyn Ridware Neighbourhood Plan and accompanying documents have been submitted by the Parish Council:

If you wish to be informed of the council's decision on the neighbourhood plan proposal then please state this within your representation or tick the appropriate box on the representation form.
It is the responsibility of the district council to collate all the representations and pass them onto the independent Examiner, who will look at them and the plan documents when assessing whether the Plan meets the basic conditions and can therefore proceed to referendum.
Neighbourhood area designation
The Mavesyn Ridware neighbourhood area has been designated, having been approved 16 December 2019.
The parish council provided the following information as part of their application:
- A map of the proposed neighbourhood area and an application letter submitted by them to us.
- Statements on why the area was appropriate for designation and that the organisation making the application was the relevant body.
