Soft archery is among the activity sessions on offer during the Half Term break.

A fantastic range of free activities are available for young people to enjoy in Lichfield District over the summer break.

Lichfield District Council’s Active Lichfield Communities team have organised the Getin2it programme which runs each weekday until Friday 28 August with sessions in Lichfield and Burntwood.

The exciting sessions on offer cater for different age ranges and include rounders (ages 7-16), Street Dance (ages 10-15), football (ages 7-12), basketball (ages 7-12), badminton and soft archery (ages 7-16), cricket (ages 7-16), tag rugby (ages 7-12) and wheelchair basketball (ages 7-16).

There is also circuit training, kickboxing and yoga with M.A.M.A (ages 8-12), Inspire Multi Sport Club for young people with disabilities (ages 5-15 and 16-25), Mini Olympics Athletics (ages 7-16), soft archery  (ages 7-16), table tennis (ages 7-16), dodgeball (ages 7-12) and US Girls sessions (ages 8-11 and 12-19).

Councillor Andy Smith, Lichfield District Council’s Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Leisure and Major Projects, said:

“Our Active Lichfield Communities team have organised a great schedule of activities for young people over the summer holidays.

“The sessions are taking place at venues across the district. They are fun, led by qualified coaches and there is no need to book – just come along and join in!”
