Work is progressing on the restoration and management of the district's natural habitats

We manage a range of parks, heathlands, and nature reserves that offer diverse outdoor experiences and natural habitats.

Key sites include Wharf Lane Heathland and Gentleshaw Common, each providing spaces for recreation and wildlife conservation.

These areas aim to preserve local biodiversity while serving as green spaces for the community to enjoy activities like walking, cycling, and nature watching.

We also manage a range of parks in Lichfield and parks in Burntwood.

Habitat havens

Habitat havens across the district

We are have a number of habitat havens across the district. Our havens have been chosen as they are not places that are used for games or play and where the growing grasses and wildflowers will not negatively impact the surrounding area.
