Community infrastructure levy
CIL, which helps to support the delivery of local infrastructure, has delivered over £3.8 million to the district since 2016.
Recent projects delivered with CIL have included:
Funding | Description |
£1,450,000 | Set aside to fund new leisure facilities across the district, including a climbing wall and soft play at Burntwood Leisure Centre and adventure golf, obstacle course and padel tennis courts at Beacon Park. |
£179,798 | Distributed to parish and town councils within the district for them to allocate to and fund local infrastructure projects of their choice. These include the Jubilee Garden in Alrewas, a new toilet block at Chasetown FC and a new bus shelter at Boley Park Community Centre. |
£100,000 | Contributed £100,000 towards Chasetown Football Club’s 3G pitch at the club’s home at The Scholars Ground. |
£8,717 | Set aside to support the Cannock Chase Special Area of Conservation (SAC) - find out more about SACs. |
