How developments boost the district

Section 106 funding

Nearly £1m (£978,630) was received through Section 106 agreements from local developments in 2022/2023, which will be distributed in the following ways:

Funding Description
£108,575 A new playing pitch in Fradley will be delivered using funding from a development on Halifax Avenue, Fradley.
£22,095 A new play area at Burntwood Leisure Centre will be delivered using funding from developments in the local area.
£10,617 New play equipment at Chase Terrace Park will be delivered using funding from housing developments in Burntwood.
£19,984 New variable traffic signage will be installed in Lichfield City to help people find car parking spaces thanks to developer contributions received in the local area.
£42,284  Developer contributions received across the district have contributed to the trial of pedestrianisation in Lichfield City centre.
£16,637 Environmental works will be carried out in Burntwood and Brookhay thanks to over £16,000 funding from local developments.
