Brownsfield Park (Lichfield City Football Club) football pitches
Brownsfield Park is on Eastern Avenue and has been the home of Lichfield City Football Club since 2009.
The first team plays in the first division of the Midland Combination and the club runs a number of boys' and girls' teams.
For information about joining the club, or about how to hire the pitch or clubhouse, visit Lichfield City Football Club's website.
Coppy Nook playing fields
Coppy Nook playing fields is off Hospital Road in Hammerwich and is leased to Burntwood Dragons and Phoenix Football Club. This successful club has both male and female teams – from under 6's in the mini academy through to adults. Small sided, junior, youth, and senior teams play in the Lichfield & District Recreational League and the South Staffs Young Women’s League.
We, along with Hammerwich Parish Council and the club, are delighted to be working in partnership to establish the club as a destination place within Burntwood’s community for all ages of football and associated recreation.
While the football club has signed a lease for 25 years, we will continue to work with the football club to encourage sport participation.
The playing fields and play area are still available for public use and the football club is looking for volunteers to help them deliver their ambitions for the club and community.
For information about joining the club, or about how to hire the pitch or pavilion, please visit the Burntwood Dragons and Phoenix Football Club website
Western Bypass football pitches
The Western Bypass (A51) public open space is home to a variety of football pitches from mini to adult size, which are maintained to a high standard by our operational services team. The park has a free car park.
Help keep the public space clean and safe
- The public open space at the Western Bypass is also an ideal spot for family sporting get-togethers and picnics.
- Please help to look after your parks and open spaces, use the litter and dog waste bins at the site, or take your litter home.
- Please remember if you allow your dog to foul in a public place, and fail to clean up after it, you are breaking the law.
