Book a football pitch

Coppy Nook playing fields is off Hospital Road in Hammerwich and is leased to Burntwood Dragons and Phoenix Football Club. This successful club has both male and female teams – from under 6's in the mini academy through to adults. Small sided, junior, youth, and senior teams play in the Lichfield & District Recreational League and the South Staffs Young Women’s League.

We, along with Hammerwich Parish Council and the club, are delighted to be working in partnership to establish the club as a destination place within Burntwood’s community for all ages of football and associated recreation.

While the football club has signed a lease for 25 years, we will continue to work with the football club to encourage sport participation.  

The playing fields and play area are still available for public use and the football club is looking for volunteers to help them deliver their ambitions for the club and community.
