Our services

Our community safety team is responsible for delivering a number of services including:

  • Responding to reports of anti-social behaviour, offering community advice, and signposting to relevant agencies. 
  • Managing low level anti-social behaviour cases involving privately rented or home-owner properties, that require intervention or offer mediation. 
  • Delivering initiatives to address anti-social behaviour. 
  • Managing complex cases at vulnerability hub meetings
  • Attending the multi-agency child exploitation (MACE) hub meetings which looks at youth ASB, county lines and risks of exploitation. 
  • Attend and chair the multi agency risk assessment conference (MARAC) to address local complex cases, including domestic abuse cases. 
  • Running regular community safety campaigns and competitions to boost public awareness of how to increase community safety – across vehicle crime, home crime, doorstep crime, online crime, fire safety and more.  
  • Holding community and attending profile raising events to increase community confidence and spread key messages in relation to community safety.  
  • Working in conjunction with Staffordshire County Council on prevalent issues such as PREVENT, Protect and Prepare, modern day slavery, hate crime and child sexual exploitation. 
  • Leading on the delivery of the community safety delivery plan with partners and updating the police, fire and crime commissioner on progress. 
  • Administration of partnership groups. 

The community safety team also administers the Local Community Safety Fund provided by the Staffordshire Commissioner which provides small grants for community safety projects each year.
