Local funeral directors provide affordable options that still allow for a personalised service. Relatives or friends of the deceased may wish to share the costs between them to provide a more tailored service for their loved one.
Where a person is in receipt of certain benefits they may be eligible to claim a Funeral Expenses Payment, Bereavement Support Payment, or support from the Children’s Funeral Fund for England.
If the deceased served in the Armed Forces, there may be assistance available from charitable organisations such as the Royal British Legion, SSAFA, or regimental associations
