Public Health Funerals

You can view details of public health funerals we have undertaken since 2016 here. As we only undertake a small number of funerals each year, we will update the register quarterly.

We do not disclose details of the last known address of the deceased or other details which would allow an individual to trace that address. It can take several months for us to trace relatives and complete all of our enquiries. During this time the property can remain unoccupied and fully furnished with all their household possessions, papers and personal effects. 

Advertising the address would leave the property vulnerable to crime. Therefore, Section 31(1)(a) FoIA (law enforcement - prevention and detection of crime) will be applied to prevent release of any information which would identify the address of the deceased.
