Money worries can have a big impact on your ability to keep your home.
If debt, benefits or financial difficulties are a significant part of what is putting your tenancy at risk, we can make a warm referral to Citizens Advice South East Staffordshire (CASES) for specialist financial support.
They can help with things such as:
- debt and rent arrears
- checking that you are receiving the benefits you are entitled to
- Universal Credit, Pension Credit and Council Tax Reduction
- Discretionary Housing Payments
- grants and hardship funds
- budgeting and affordability
- dealing with creditors and repayment arrangements
- Breathing Space and other debt solutions where appropriate.
We will not simply pass you on and leave you to start again.
With your consent, we can share relevant information with CASES so you do not have to keep repeating your circumstances. Our tenancy sustainment team and CASES can then work together and keep you supported throughout your journey, helping to deal with both the financial and wider issues that may be putting your home at risk.
