If you are struggling with your tenancy or worried that you might lose your home, our tenancy sustainment team can help.
We offer practical, person-centred support to help you deal with problems that could put your tenancy at risk, whether you rent your home from a private landlord or a housing association.
Our aim is to step in early, help you tackle the things that are causing difficulties and, wherever possible, prevent you from becoming homeless.
What our tenancy sustainment team can help with
We will listen to what is happening and work with you to understand what support could make a difference.
This could include:
- help to understand your tenancy and your responsibilities
- support if you are struggling to manage your home or tenancy
- help with budgeting, rent and household bills
- checking whether other services or support could help you
- working with your landlord or other organisations where appropriate
- linking you with specialist health, employment, debt or community support
- keeping in touch and working with you while you get things back on track.
- refer you to our partners at CASES if financial issues and afforability are threatening your tenancy - find out more.
What to do if you are facing homelessness
If you are facing the threat of homelessness within the next 56 days, please make a homelessness application and we will refer you to the tenancy sustainment team if we feel it could support your circumstances.
You can also register for social housing.
