Legal status of this policy
The council approved this policy on 16 December 2024 and amendments to it may be made by the Environment and Community Protection Manager or the Director of Finance, Environment and Community Protection.
This policy is intended to provide a handrail for stakeholders and does not provide a ‘one size fits all’ approach across the range of functions delivered by the service. It does not affect or fetter the discretion of the council, or its officers, to take legal proceedings, or any other course of action, where it is in the public interest to do so.
