We look after the grounds maintenance on the Waitrose side ot the Darwin Park Estate.
This area includes:
- Cathedral Walk.
- Lagoons and pools - find out more.
- Grassed spaces.
- Bins, benches, bollards and lights.
We assumed responsibility for the majority of the site's maintenance from the developer in mid-2024, with full management transferring to us in early 2026.
The site is managed to provide a balanced mix of formal landscaped areas that receive regular maintenance, alongside less formal areas designed to support biodiversity and create valuable natural habitats for wildlife.
As part of our ongoing management of the site, we are investing in improvements to bins, benches, lighting and play areas, while continuing routine grounds maintenance.
If you notice any issues on public land, please:
- Report a street cleansing issue - including poor sweeping, additional sweeping requests, excessive leaf and blossom or weed spraying queries.
- Report a grounds maintenance issue - including overgrown verges, play area issues, flowerbed and hedge issues.
We are also keen to work with local residents, volunteer groups and community organisations who may be interested in helping to further enhance and develop the area - if you are a local residents group, please email parks@lichfielddc.gov.uk to discuss how we can work together.
