Apply for planning permission
Before you apply, we always recommend you check whether you need planning permission first.
The best way to apply for permission is through the government's Planning Portal which is designed to help you complete an application and create a professional quality site location plan by downloading appropriate Ordnance Survey maps.
You can save your application as you go, so you don't need to complete it in one go.
The Planning Portal site even calculates the correct fees for you and allows you to pay online.
Once you've submitted your application, it then goes into a five stage process.

Why not fast track your application
