Pay your council tax
You can pay your council tax in a number of ways. If you need help paying your council tax or rent, visit our benefits section.
The easiest way to pay your council tax is by direct debit - payments are taken on a ten monthly basis (April - January), with no payments in February and March, unless you apply to pay by 12-monthly instalments.
We offer four payment dates each month - you can choose to have your direct debit taken out of your bank account on either on the 1st, 10th, 18th or 25th of each month.

Remember to have your banking details and your council tax reference number to hand.

Remember - if you have already set up a direct debit, you do not need to set up another one when you receive your new bill in March each year - your direct debit wil remain in place.
