We're really grateful to residents for their patience last week when we cancelled bin and bag collections last week due to snow and ice. We are doing our very best to catch up this week on all the bins we missed.

Catching up on missed bins is no small operation - for every day we missed we have to try to empty an additional 16,000 bins alongside emptying the bins we are already due to empty today.

We tried our hardest yesterday, but we were not able to tip off at our usual location. This meant we had to travel further when our wagons filled up (which was reguarly as the bins were so full from Christmas and New Year). This slowed us down considerably, so we are very sorry if your bin/bags are still full - we will empty them as soon as we can.

We are revising our catch up plan this morning but please leave your bins/bags out this week and give us until Friday 16 January to empty them. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
