Our reception desk and telephone lines are closed over the bank holiday weekend from 5pm on Friday 1 May to 9am on Tuesday 5 May. If you need help whilst we are closed, why not WhatsApp us on 01543 308171 and we'll get back to you on Tuesday. Alternatively, why not use our single form to book, apply for or report a local issue. If your query is urgent and it cannot wait until Tuesday, please contact our out of hours service on 0300 303 8234. If your bin/bag is due to be emptied on Monday, please put it out as our crews will be collecting as normal.

Our environmental protection officers seized a vehicle on 23 April 2026 (registration PF63 FDK) due to suspected offences under Sections 33 and 34 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990, which relate to the improper handling and disposal of waste. To find out more, view the notice.

Changes are being made to the planning system that will impact planning appeals and large housing applications. Appeals will rely only on the original application information, so comments must be made at the application stage. For large developments (150+ homes), the Secretary of State may step in if refusal is considered. So, if you have any views on planning applications in your area, make sure you comment when the application is first published and find out more.
