Street sweeping and weed spraying
Different areas of our district are swept at various frequencies, depending on how busy they are.
We work with Burntwood Road Sweepers as well as use our own in house smaller sweepers to keep local streets clean.
- Busier routes and areas are swept more regularly, whilst less busy routes may only be swept once a year.
- Some rural roads are not on a regular sweeping route, but we can arrange to sweep these - report a street cleansing issue
We weed spray in Lichfield City centre and in areas where we are commissioned to do so by parish councils.
- Staffordshire County Council weed spray main roads and kerblines.
- Private housing management companies carry out weed spraying in some housing estates.

Please let us know if you see an issue on the public highway or public land:
- Report a street cleansing issue - including poor sweeping, excessive leaf and blossom or weed spraying queries.
- Report fly tipping (dumped rubbish)
- Report a dead animal
- Report an abandoned vehicle
- Report a grounds maintenance issue - including overgrown verges, play area issues, flowerbed and hedge issues.
- Report a broken street name plate.
