| Sherrif's ride |
The following Streets shall be closed to all vehicular traffic including pedal cycles: At 9:30, the route covers Reeve Lane, Bore Street, Bird Street, Conduit Street, Dam Street, Market Street, and Breadmarket Street, then continues along Tamworth Street from Lombard Street to Boots. From 10:30 to 12:00, the route proceeds along The Friary from Swan Road to Bore Street, then continues onto Beacon Street, Pinfold Road, Cross in Hand Lane East, and Cross in Hand Lane West up to the Sheriff’s Ride bridleway. It then follows the A51 Stafford Road from the Sheriff’s Ride bridleway to the Plant Pot, including crossing the A51 and travelling to the roundabout, then along the A515 to Grange Lane. The route continues on Grange Lane from the A515 to Oxclose Farm (Elmhurst), then follows Park Lane, Fox Lane, and Watery Lane from Eastern Avenue to Curborough Hall Farm. From 11:00 to 12:00, the route travels along Netherstowe Lane from Curborough Equestrian Centre to Spring Road. From 11:00 to 12:30, the route covers Caterham Crescent, Oak Way to Burton Road, Yoxall Way to the Co‑Op car park, and Burton Road A5127 (Oak Way) to Eastern Avenue at the Trent Valley roundabout. It then continues along A5127 Cappers Lane from Eastern Avenue. As an alternative, the route may follow Netherstowe Lane (Curborough Equestrian Centre) to Brownsfield Road, then Eastern Avenue (from Brownsfield Road) to Trent Valley Island, and Cappers Lane to Darnford Park (Cappers Lane from Eastern Avenue to the A38 and A5192). From 11:30 to 13:00, the route follows Darnford Lane from Tudor Close to Marsh Lane, then crosses Lichfield Road/Tamworth Road (A51) to reach Freeford Manor Drive. From 12:45 to 14:00, the route continues along Old London Road from the A38 to Whitehouse Farm, then along the unnamed road from the A5 to Old London Road. From 13:30 to 14:30, the route travels along Watling Street from the A5127 to Claypit Lane, then continues along Wall Lane and Fosseway Lane, crossing the A5190 Lichfield Road opposite Grange Lane. It then follows Abnalls Lane from the field exit to Pipe Grange for 200 metres. From 15:30 to 16:30, the route continues along Abnalls Lane from Maple Hayes to Beacon Street, crossing the A51. From 16:00 to 17:30, the route covers Beacon Street from Abnalls Lane to The Close, then continues along Reeve Lane, Dam Street, Market Street (from Dam Street to Breadmarket Street), Breadmarket Street, Lower Bore Street, and Conduit Street. |
