More people, more active, more often

We’re investing more than £600,000 community infrastructure levy funding from local developments to enhance the quality and facilities in Beacon Park for more people to use and enjoy.

Beacon Park features a range of facilities - from a children’s adventure play area and full size and junior football pitches, through to a café, formal gardens, tennis courts and more.

The park is also currently home to a pitch and putt golf course, much of which is not used due to the quality of parts of the golf course that are water logged and often unplayable.

We believe that with clever planning, we can make better use of the unused areas of the golf course, and introduce new facilities for more people to enjoy, whilst also enhancing the golfing experience in the park.

Our ambition is that the golf course, adventure golf and Padel tennis courts will be available for people to use and enjoy from late autumn 2025 onwards.

Boosting our other district parks

We're working on other vision documents for other parks across our district including Burntwood, Chase Terrace and Stowe Pool and Field. We'll be asking for views locally.
