Pay by direct debit
The easiest way to pay your council tax is by direct debit - payments are taken on a ten monthly basis (April - January), with no payments in February and March, unless you apply to pay by 12-monthly instalments.
If you pay by direct debit, we offer four payment dates each month - you can choose to have your direct debit taken out of your bank account on either on the 1st, 10th, 18th or 25th of each month.
To set up or amend a direct debit, fill in our online form. You can also pay for your council tax through a one-off payment.
Remember to have your banking details and your council tax reference number to hand.
If you don’t pay by Direct Debit, please remember to pay by the 1st of each month, or we will send you a reminder.
