Help with your deposit
If you are receiving universal credit (which includes an allowance for housing element) or housing benefit and you are renting from a private landlord, we may be able to help you with a rent deposit or rent in advance through a discretionary housing payment. We may also be able to help you with removal costs - please note that if you are moving into the Lichfield District, you must make this claim from the local authority you are moving from.
