We are urging residents to take extra precautions during the hot weather. Key advice includes reporting any street homelessness to ensure vulnerable individuals get essential assistance, staying hydrated, checking on neighbours (especially older or vulnerable people), and not swimming in open water or rivers. Barbecues are also not permitted in our parks or open spaces during this dry spell - thank you for your understanding. Read our hints and tips from the community safety partnership about how to keep safe and well in the heat.

The Little Aston Park Residents Association has contacted us to request that, due to road resurfacing works, some black bin collections are cancelled on Friday 20 June 2025.

This means if you live in the following affected roads, your black bin is unlikely to be emptied:

  • Roman Road from the roundabout with Streetly Lane up to the junction with Walsall Road (and any private roads off Roman Road)
  • Roman Grange
  • Squirrel Walk
  • Keepers Road
  • Beech Gate
  • Stonehouse Drive
  • Claverdon Drive
  • Rosemary Drive
  • The Headlands

We may also not be able to get access to the following roads:

  • Park Drive (and any roads off Park Drive)
  • Endwood Drive (and any roads off Endwood Drive)
  • Roman Lane (and any roads off Roman Lane)

We are sorry, but we will not be able to accept any missed bin reports for Friday 20 June for the above roads - instead if your bin is not emptied, please put it out on our next normal collection day on Friday 4 July 2025, when we will take up to one bag of side waste, tied securely and placed next to your black bin.

If you have any queries about the road resurfacing or collection cancellation, please contact Little Aston Park Residents Association.
