A new national recycling service is coming to your home later this year.
Once launched you will be able to recycle your food waste every week from home, thanks to a new service we are required to roll-out, as part of the Government’s Simpler Recycling initiative.
To help you use the service, we will deliver you:
- A small kitchen food waste caddy
- A larger outdoor food waste caddy
- A set of liners
- Find out when your caddy pack will be delivered
This is a UK-wide change, not a local decision. It forms part of the Government’s plans to reduce landfill, cut carbon emissions and improve recycling across the country.
The government's simpler recycling initiative requires that all local councils roll out a food waste service.
Food waste caddy deliveries will begin later this year, after which you will be able to put your filled food waste caddy out every week on your normal weekly bin day.
There is no need to sign up, everything will be delivered to your home.
