Tetra Paks

We’re currently unable to accept Tetra Paks in your blue bin.

This is because cartons have a plastic lining that’s difficult to separate from the paper, meaning they can’t be processed alongside standard paper and card.

What are we doing about it?

Some councils are able to collect Tetra Paks because they have contracts with different recycling facilities.

We are actively pressing our waste contractor to explore options for collecting cartons in future, and we’ll keep residents updated on any changes.

How to recycle Tetra Paks now

If you're unable to use these options, Tetra Paks can be placed in your black bin for disposal.
