We're really grateful to residents for their patience week after we cancelled bin and bag collections last week due to snow and ice. We are doing our very best to catch up this week on the bins and bags we missed.

Catching up on missed bins and bags is no small operation - for every day we missed we have to try to empty an additional 16,000 bins and bags alongside emptying the bins and bags we are already due to empty.

We tried our hardest yesterday, but we were not able to tip off at our usual location. This meant we had to travel further when our wagons filled up (which was reguarly as people's bins were so full from Christmas and New Year). This slowed us down considerably, so we are very sorry if your bin/bags are still full - we will empty them as soon as we can.

Please leave your bins/bags out this week and give us until Friday 16 January to empty them and view our catch up plan to find out where we hope to empty bins from each day. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

The hirer shall not stage or engage in any activities that might be deemed to be ancillary to the main purpose of the booking, e.g. catering, stalls, raffles and any other fundraising/income earning activities without the prior written consent of the council.
